- bruising on head and chin (brain trauma or TMJ)
5) intraoral exam
- look for debris and fragments
- occlusion and TMJ
6) hard tissue assessment
- teeth missing, fragments found, pulp exposure, luxation, mobility
7) radiographic assessment
- modified occlusal, periapical
- reduce exposure time by 25 for soft tissue radiographs
- extraoral lateral radiograph, reduce exposure time by 50%
