RR <10 or >30 
SBP <90 
Spo2 <90% 
GCS- 
if >16 years GCS <13 
If <15 years GCS <15 

NO- assess for specific injuries
YES- if isolated reduction in GCS >65 YO fall <1 metre —-> YES tx to neurosurgical hospital
___> NO Tx to trauma centre within 45 mins

Injuries that meet time critical

  • All penetrating
  • Blunt injuries- serious injures needing specialist intervention
  • significant injuries involving more than one body region
  • limb amputation/threatening injury
  • ?spinal injuries/#
  • burns >20% TBSA (10% if <15yr) OR suspected respiratory tract burns.
