The following duties of the common carrier:

The instances when the carrier may validly refuse to accept goods include the following:

1. When the goods sought to be transported are dangerous objects, or substances including dynamites and other explosives
2. The goods are unfit for transportation
3. Acceptance would result in overloading
4. The goods are considered contrabands or illegal goods
5. Goods are injurous to health
6. Goods will exposed to untoward danger like flood, capture by enemies and the like
7. Goods like livestock will be exposed to diseases
8. Strike
9. Failure to tender goods on time.
