tissue transplant from one individual who is genetically different

renal, cardiac, lung transplant
not from identical genetic background but important to match blood types and HLA as well as give immunosupression

transplant in which the individual acts as both the donor and recipient

e.g. burn in one specific area so a part of their body that’s intact is removed and transplanted

the immune system will not reject
