No breaks
What is Fartlek training ?
Fartlek (speed play)
Continuous form of training
Changes speed,incline,terrain
What is interval training ?
Periods of hard work with times rest
Wide variety of fitness types
Structured in reps and sets
What is weight training ?
Normally 1 REP MAX
Time is structured in sets/reps
Specific timings for recovery
Range of machines,free weight, body exercise
What is plyometric training ?
Explosive movements
Muscle lengthened and quickly shortened
Effective for building power
What is circuit training ?
Develops MC, Strength, CV
Interval form of training
Stations are set out to train more than one component of fitness
Moves from one station to next with exercise rests in-between
