What happened to previous manuals, orders, dispatches and bulletins relating to training procedures and methods when the Training Manual was established?
They were repealed.
The Training Manual shall serve the purpose of:
- Developing uniformity in the application of evaluations & procedures by all dept members.
- Providing basic authority for all training activities.
- Becoming a permanent record.
When will Training Manual subject matter be changed, revised, deleted, broadened, amended, repealed and extended?
With new developments in equip, procedures and philosophies.
Who prescribes changes to the Training Manual.
The Training Division, with approval of the Chief of the Dept.
Who is responsible for initiating recommended changes, updates, modifications, additions & deletions to the Training Manual?
All members of the department.
Which division shall changes in the TM be submitted to and issues out of?
Training Division.
Where will revisions to the TM be routed?
To the DC’s and the Chief for approval.
If it is determined that additional input is needed to proposed TM revisions, what happens?
They will be routed through the BC’s for additional input.
Who makes interpretation of any section of the TM when required?
The Chief of the Department.
