AFFF is superior foam Needs lees time less solution to extinguish Floats on flammable liquid Produces film that excludes air, cools & separates Film also inhibits flame reaction Approx 30lbs 2 1/2 gallon water/foam mixture 100 lbs pressure 35’-40’ reach Freezes at 32 degrees

Anticipate when AFFF might be needed -Black smoke from a cellar, consider AFFF
Daily inspection Damage or corrosion Conditions of the collar & cap threads Serviceability of the gasket Air pressure (100 psi)
Recharging Use 2.5 gallon extinguisher Add 2 gallons of water Slowly add 10 oz of 3% AFFF concentrate (do not mix one type with another) Slowly add more water to 2.5 gal mark Replace cap and charge (100 psi) Invert several times to mix Label with date of recharge After use must be recharged After a year of no use refill/recharge
