What will you learn at RMC?
to lead/command at the section, platoon and company level. You will also learn Military history, navigation, weapon training, communication skills, leadership and management, first AID, military lifestyle, and the responsibilities of an Officer in the Royal Australian Corps.
How much do you know about military life in general?
o Military life in general will be very disciplined, challenging, routine and highly rewarding.
What do you learn in Third Class?
Basic military tactics, Military History, Weapon training, First AID, Navigation, Character development, Leadership and communication skills.
What do you learn in Second Class?
Expand on Military history, Science and technology, Leadership, character development, communication skills. This phase will be an opportunity to put all you have learnt into action by commanding/leading a section (group of six – 20 subordinates). You then will have exposure to leading from a platoon level which will consist of multiple Sections.
What do you learn in First Phase?
The final six months of training will focus on polishing your Military History, communication, management and leadership skills. It is in this phase that you will be expected to take more responsible for the Third and Second Class cadets and really understand the responsibilities of an officer in the Australian Royal Army.
What happens after RMC?
Based on personal preference, performance and service requirements you will branch off to specliase in a Military Corps. Then you will begin your initial military training.
