What is the DFDA (Defence Force Discipline Act)?
The DFDA outlines the level of discipline action. Three levels
1: Discipline Officer Scheme - Enables commanders to deal with minor disciplinary offences in a simple, quick and fair manner
2: Summary Authorities - Enables commanding officers and officers appointed as superior summary authorities to deal with more serious disciplinary offences
3: Defence Force Magistrate and Courts Martial proceedings: Highest level of disciplinary action under
the DFDA
