A
columns are correctly totalled
balances correctly copied over to the trail balance
check the bookkeeping entries since the last trail balance
check if you can divide the difference by 9

How can there be an error in trail balance?
A
The credit is entered as a debit, and the debit is entered as credit, this would balance but be incorrect
