Define Section 1A (causing serious injury by dangerous driving)
A person who causes serious injury to another person by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle dangerously on a road or other public place shall be guilty of an offence.
Define section 2 Road Traffic act (dangerous driving)
A person who drives a mechanically propelled vehicle dangerously on a road or other public place is guilty of an offence.
Define serious injury?
Physical harm which amounts to GBH
Define Section 2B (Death by careless or inconsiderate driving)
A person who causes the death of another person by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place, without due care and attention, or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road or place, is guilty of an offence

Define section 3 (driving without due care and attention or reasonable consideration)
If a person drives a mechanically propelled vehicle, on a road or other public place, without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road or place he is guilty of an offence.
Define section 3A ( causing death by dangerous driving whilst under the influence of drink or drugs)
If a person causes the death of another person by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place, without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road or place
And
He is at the time when they are driving unfit to drive through drink or drugs
Or
He has consumed so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, blood or urine exceeds the prescribed limit
Or
He has in his body a specified controlled drug and the proportion of it in his blood or urine exceeds the prescribed limit for that drug
Or
He is, within 18 hours after that time, required to provide a specimen in pursuance of section 7, but without reasonable excuse fails to provide it
Or
He is required by a Constable to give his permission for a lab test of a specimen of blood taken from him under sec 7a but without reasonable excuse he fails to do so,
He is guilty of an offence.
Define Sec 35 OAP 1861 (Wanton and furious Driving)
Whosoever having the charge of any carriage or vehicle shall by Wanton or furious driving or racing or other wilful misconduct or wilful neglect do or cause any bodily harm to any person whatsoever shall be guilty of an offence.

Define section 163 RTA 1988
Any person driving a mechanically propelled vehicle, or riding a pedal cycle on a road, shall stop on being required to do so by a Constable in uniform or traffic officer.
Mobile Phones - Regulation 110(1) of the Road vehicles regulations 1986
No person shall drive a motor vehicle on a road if he is using:-
A) A handheld mobile telephone, or
B) A handheld device other than a two way radio, which performs any interactive communication function by transmitting and receiving data.

No person shall supervise a holder of a provisional licence if the person supervising is using:-
A) A handheld mobile telephone, or
B) A handheld device other than a two way radio, which performs any interactive communication function by transmitting and receiving data.
Define Sec 4 - Driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.
Any person who drives, attempts to drive or is in charge of a motor vehicle on a road or other public place whilst unfit through drink or drugs commits an offence.
Define section 5
Any person who drives, attempts to drive or is in charge of a motor vehicle on a road or other public place after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of alcohol in the persons breath, blood or urine exceeds the prescribed limit commits an offence.
Define section 5A
Any person who drives, attempts to drive or is in charge of a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place and in their body is a specified controlled drug and the proportion of that drug exceeds the the prescribed limit for that drug commits an offence.
Define Sec 59 of Police reform act 2002
Where a Constable in uniform had reasonable grounds for believing that a motor vehilcle is being used on any occasion in a manner which:
A) Contravenes sec 3 or 34 of the RTA 1988,
B) Is causing harassment, alarm or annoyance to members of the public.
