What is a repeat victim?
I or more domestic incidents within 12 months
What is a repeat perpetrator?
More than 1 case of the same person within 12 months.
What is a serial perpetrator?
Having committed or threatened domestic abuse against 2 or more victims.
What does DASH mean? And what is it?

It assesses, identifies and helps the Police to manage risk.
What is a DVPN?
It is bail conditions without the suspect being charged or without the prospect of a criminal case. It is a civil order enforced by the police and is basically a document that the police apply to the court for to put conditions in place to prevent the suspect from approaching or contacting the victim. It is applied for by the investigating officer to the super intendant.
A DVPN may be authorised under sec 24 where.
The perpetrator is 18yrs or older
There are reasonable grounds for believing that the perpetrator has been violent or threatened violence towards the victim on this occasion and
The issue of the DVPN is necessary to protect the victim from violence or a threat of violence by the perpetrator
The victim and perpetrator do not live together
This is a victimless process - does not require consent of the victim.
A DVPN must in all cases contain a provision to prohibit the perpetrator from molesting the victim.
