NIP wording

NIP Applicable Offences:
D - Dangerous / Careless driving
A - Aiding and abbetting these offences
F - Failing to conform to a signal given by a PC on traffic duty
F - Failing to confrom to road signs covered by s.36 RTA 1988 (GOLD RULES)
L - Leaving a vehicle in a dangerous position
E - Excess Speed
GOLD RULES:
Give Way Sign
One way Street
Level Crossing
Double white line
Red Light
U turn (no U turn)
Left or Right turn (no left or right)
Entry (no entry)
Stop Signs
s.12 Theft Act (TWOC)
without having the CONSENT OF THE OWNER or OTHER LAWFUL AUTHORITY
he TAKES any CONVEYANCE for his own or another’s use or KNOWING
that any conveyance has been taken without such authority DRIVES IT or ALLOWS HIMSELF TO BE CARRIED IN OR ON IT

Interference with a Motor Vehicle (s.9 Crim Attempts Act)
A Person is Guilty of an offence if they
- Interfere with a motor vehicle or trailer
or
- Anything carried in or on it
With the intention that one of the following offences shall be committed by himself or another:
(a) Theft of the motor vehicle or trailer or part of it
(b) Theft of anything carried in or on the motor vehicle or trailer
(c) an offence under s.12 (TWOC)

Driver MUST STOP
and
GIVE THEIR NAME AND ADDRESS
and
GIVE NAME AND ADDRESS OF OWNER OF MPV (if different)
and
IDENTIFICATION MARK OF THE VEHICLE (reg)
- if INJURY accident other than to driver - ALSO required to provide evidence of insurance
- If Information NOT GIVEN - must report IN PERSON to police station/ constable AS SOON AS REASONABLY PRACTICABLE
