Robbery Definition:

A

A person is guilty of robbery if he steals

And immediately before or at the time of doing so and in order to do so

He uses force on any person or puts or seeks to put any person in fear of being then and there subjected to force

Steals:

A

Same definition of theft. Therefore no theft no robbery.

Theft does not include TWOC or taking a pedal cycle without consent

Immediately Before:

A

A matter for the court to decide but there should be an UNBROKEN CHAIN OF EVENTS between force and theft

(Even if many hours have elapsed)

A

Very little FORCE is required and must be used voluntarily (still counts if reckless)

Fear of Force:

A

Must be at THAT TIME AND PLACE -> THEN AND THERE SUBJECTED TO FORCE

D only needs to intend to put the person in fear - not necessary they were actually frightened

A person CANNOT FEAR FOR THE SAFTEY OF ANOTHER PERSON
