To enable visitor profile and tracking digital body language. Tracking scripts can be configured to look at Sub-Sites separately, for reporting purposes.
To track non-html docs, like PDF downloads, use Eloqua redirect links.
Once tracking scripts are implemented, Eloqua starts to record the pages themselves, along with any visits and visitors to that page.

Microsites

Microsites host forms and landing pages for marketing campaigns and can be basic, secured or authenticated.
Basic are the most common. Secure and authenticated microsites need to be purchased and are not part of the basic Eloqua platform.
Secure microsites use SSL to encrypt the data that passed between a visitor’s browser and the web server.
Authenticated microsites are secure microsite that also require visitors to enter a password to access the site.

Subdomain configuration for your website needs to be set up before creating a new microsite.
