Q

Chicken or the Egg?

A

This report states that this debate (Do the facilities move there after the people, or do the people move there later?) was no longer needed as there was no need for it - it happens at the same time (there are cases of people wanting to move but not being able to)

A

In areas that have TSDFs (Treatment, Storage, and Disposal facilities), most of the area is made up of POCs, AAs, Hispanics/Latinxs, etc, For the same group of people, the percentage of them living in non-host areas was much lower
- poverty rate was higher, mean household was lower, fewer with a 4 year college degree, less white collar jobs, and more blue collar jobs in host areas compared to non-host
