Hammurabi’s code, how many codes are there?What are some of the different categories?
Hammurabi’s code is a set of judgments and rolls for the Babylonian empire there is a total of 282 laws organized into different categories including trade ,work, property, family ,adopting children ,practicing medicine ,hiring wagons or boats ,controlling dangerous animals
Who was Hammurabi and what is he famous for?
Hammurabi was the king of the Babylon his empire was Babylonia which controlled all of Mesopotamia he is famous for inventing the first written laws in recorded history
What’s the code equal?
The code was not equal to all people the Harshman of the punishment depended on the importance of the victim and the lawbreaker higher class lawbreakers had a less severe punishment then pour lawbreakers
The codes advantages
The code help settle many disputes in all areas of life therefore it’s important reflected on the Babylonian society
Where is the code?How tall is it?
The code is written on a Blackstone spell it is approximately 7.5 feet tall and it’s written in cuneiform
Why do doctors have to be careful when working on patients
If the surgeon was working on a patient and the patient died the doctor would lose its hand they would cut it off and a person who accidentally broke the law was just as guilty as someone who meant to Break the law
