What advice/education would you give to the patient on discharge?
A
o When the drug should be taken (PRN)
o Can the drug be taken with food? Or on an empty stomach
o Take only as prescribed
o Do not exceed the dose given
o Do not exceed the number doses
o What are the side effects
o If you have any significant problems (i.e. respiratory problems) call 999
o If the drug is not working return to hospital
