E- Studies have found low levels of serotonin in depressed people, and a gene related to this is 10x more likely to be in depressed people.
E- Research shows drug therapy can be effective in treating depression.
L- Meaning neurotransmitters also play a role in depression, and so the diathesis stress model could be a better approach.
