Desalination means removing any salt from salty water.

What is Dehydration Method and how does it work?
A
- It is the process of removing water from a solution
- The solvent (water in most cases) separates from the solution via evaporation

Processing Petroleum and What is Fractional Distillation?
A
The mixture is heated so that at least one part begins to change into a gas (vaporize)
then the gas travels up and away from that mixture and the heat. then in a separate chamber, the gas is cooled and turned back in a liquid (recondense) and then the cycle continues until all of them have been separated into each chamber.

All different Separation methods
A
- Distillation, Removing all salt from salty water.
- Dehydration, The process of removing water from a solution.
- Fractioning, Heating up mixtures, and separating them into chambers.
- Evaporation, Heating up a mixture to remove it from a mixture.
- Filtration, Putting a solution through a filtering device and when going through that device it separates them into different mixtures. (not one hundred on this one btw).
- Chromatography, The mixture is dissolved in a fluid (gas or solvent) called the mobile phase, which carries it through a system (a column, a capillary tube, a plate, or a sheet) on which a material called the stationary phase is fixed. The different constituents of the mixture have different affinities for the stationary phase. The different molecules stay longer or shorter on the stationary phase, depending on their interactions with their surface sites. So, they travel at different apparent velocities in the mobile fluid, causing them to separate. The separation is based on the differential partitioning between the mobile and the stationary phases (copied this from Wikipedia).
