Q

Homogenous and Heterogenous, What are they?

A
  • Homogenous- Mixture that looks like they only have one set of properties (pure substance). EX, paint.
  • Heterogeneous- Mixtures that contain two or more materials that are still visible. (e.g Stew, Cereal).

Q

Solutes and Solvents

A

-The solute is the substance that dissolves in a solvent (Sugar).
-The solvent is the substance that dissolves the solute (Water).
For example, you pour sugar (solute), into the water (solvent) and
then the sugar dissolves into the water (solvent).
