Q

What is the structure of a gas

A

There are almost no forces of attraction in a gas. have more energy than liquid or solid and are free to move

9
Q

What type of energy stores are in internal energy

A

the system vibrates or moves around so it has kinetic energy store and has energy in its potential energy stores due to its position

Q

what would happen if you were to heat up a system

A

when the system is heated up the system transfers energy to its particles (increasing its kinetic energy) making it move faster, increasing the internal energy

Q

What would happen if you give enough heat t a substance (bonds)

A

A change of state occurs. they will have enough energy stores in their kinetic energy stores to break the bonds.
