Q

Explain enzyme substrate specficity

A

The shape of substrates has to match the shape of the active site. Specific enzymes are needed for specific reasons

Q

Describe denaturation and how it affects enzyme action

A

Denaturation is the change of a structure (perm). When bonds break they become denatured so the substrates can no longer fit into the active site. This slows down collisions
