What is a case for the background of bias in the collection and processing of forensic evidence?

A

Date: 11th March 2004

What happened: A serious of bombs went off in co-ordinated attack on 4 commuter trains in Madrid, Spain. 191 killed, 1800 wounded.

Suspect: Brandon Mayfield

FBI protocol: having a number of fingerprints experts examine the fingerprints and all agreed they were Mayfields.

Case closure: The real bomber was Ouhnane Daoud who the Spanish police had originally identified
