Q

How does induction produce an induced charge?

A

The magnet pushes the electrons through the wire. When you take the magnet out, the electrons go back again.

Q

If a balloon is negatively charged, what happens to the atoms in the wall to make it stick?

A

The electrons attract the protons in the wall and repel the electrons in the wall. One side of the wall becomes positively charged (the side closest to the balloon) and the other side becomes negatively charged.
