Overall unsuccessful rate rate increasing yearly
Land ownership
Is hugely controversial issue, in 1994 the govt promised to give 30% of white land to blacks by 1999 only 10% been transferred. Shows government do not live up to economic promises relate to question. The land has been slowly given as the govt has only used 1% of the budget since 1994. Showing lack of effort , unsuccessful reducing inequality, could be cause of corruption. Overall tackling land ownership been unsuccessful. Lack of effort. However concern cause blacks not educated to run farms
Education inequality
In apartheid blacks had restricted curriculum‘Bantu education’. Since apartheid over 20% off govt spending on education, more than any sector. This investment can tackle education inequality and reduce attainment gap with whites and blacks. Affirmative action policy, lower entry requirements for black and no entry fees for low income families. Blacks now 65% of uni students, further reduces attainment gap makes uni more available. Overall successful more accessible.
Conclusion
Land inequalities not effectively tackled, crime inequalities getting worse and worse, no trust in police. Edu action most successful tackled, better for all and accommodating, and lesson attainment gap. Due to investment made more black teachers are rained. New schools. Less plank in schools
