Set-up:

1. Flaps 25
2. Keep a/c rolling, no brakes

Execution:

1. Advance power
2. Lift off as lowest speed possible
3. REMAIN IN GROUND EFFECT while accelerating to 64 or 76
4. Climb away
5. Retract flaps

Question 2

Soft Field Landing

Answer 2

• Hold the a/c off the ground 1-2 feet and to dissipate forward airspeed
• Hold nose wheel off ground as long as possible
• Minimal to no braking

Question 3

Short Field Takeoff

Answer 3

Set-up:

1. Flaps 25
2. Complete stop

Execution:

1. Hold brakes, advance throttle, check engine instrument
2. Rotate at POH computed airspeed
3. Pitch to enable Acceleration to Speed at 50 feet (POH computed)
4. Past 50’ - Reduce pitch to climb out at 76
5. Retract flaps

Short Field Landing

Answer 4

• Touchdown at minimum controllable airspeed at or after your designated touchdown point
• Apply optimum disc and aerodynamic braking
