Q

Describe fibrous joints

A
  • Suture
  • > Permits growth, but little or no movement
  • > Articulating surfaces covered by osteogenic layer
  • Gomphosis: joint between socket to bone joined by fibres
  • Syndesmosis: between two bones joined by interosseous ligament, limited movement

Q

Describe synovial joints

A
  • Permits significant movement
