1900 to 1300 BC. People were migrating, setting for earliest traditions of God revealing Himself as the God of their fathers. Latter half spent by israelites in Egypt
When did the exodus and march to canaan happen?
~1290-1235 BC. Main events of old testament happen here- Israelites are revealed as God’s chosen people, real beginning as 12 tribes as 1 nation

Happened post exodus, around 1250-1020 BC. Period of fighting, upheavals, political tension causing formation of a single nation by invasion of Canaan (by tribes under joshua)
Monarchy of David and Solomon
1020-930 BC. High point of Israel’s power/prestige, Israel rose from tribe to empire. Tensions between tribal values and those of new kings.

930-722 BC. Split because of different interpretations of past traditions. Israel
