excessive increase/decrease in BP/HR change in consciousness diaphoresis LE edema decrease in/loss of pedal pulse reports of nausea or numbness vertigo changes in facial or limb color
how do you get a patient onto a tilt table?
slide pt. onto table using a draw sheet or slippery sheet transfer
where do the straps go?
just below knees; pelvis; chest (as needed)
under what circumstances might a tilt table be preferable to standing at bedside?
pt. too weak; standing fully upright causes problems

what you are trying to secure and not secure
what factors determine how high the table is tilted?

when would you transition to standing?
when pt. can tolerate 20minutes at 70-80˚; use clinical judgement
