Who is a thrower-in?
A player attempting to make a throw-in.
What exactly is a throw-in?
A method of putting the ball into play from OOB.
When does the throw-in begin?
The throw-in and count begins when the ball is at the disposal of a player of the team entitled to it.
When does the throw-in count end?
When it is released by the thrower so the ball directly goes into the court.
When does the throw-in end? (3)
- The passed ball touches a player inbounds.
- The passed ball touches a player OOB. (exception to this)
- when the throw-in team violates.
What is the exception for a throw-in NOT ending when it touches a teammate of the team taking it OOB?
after a goal or awarded goal for BI or defensive goaltending - they can pass to a teammate along the endline, ONLY ON THE ENDLINE.
If the throw-in team opponent commits a common foul or violates, and the throw-in is on the end line, does the throw-in team lose the privilege of passing it to a teammate OOB?
