Pleural cavities
Paired, segmental branches to the body wall
Intercostal arteries
Paired arteries to paired internal organs
Bronchial arteries
Ventral, unpaired arteries to the gastrointestinal tract
Oesophageal arteries
The pleural cavity contains a thin film/fluid, why?
Helps the lungs the slide
Creates surface tension between the parietal and visceral layers to aid inspiration
Medial aspect of lung next to the heart
The Hilum
Atrioventricular valves:
Mitral
Tricuspid
Semilunar valves:
Aortic
Pulmonary
Left coronary artery function:
Supplies the thick muscles wall of the LV
Right coronary arteries function
Supplies the conducting centres of the heart (SAN and AVN)
