Precipitation rules 1&2
1) Most Nitrate (NO3-) salts are soluble
2) Most salts containing Alkalai Metal ions and ammonium are soluble (Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+, Rb+, NH4+)

3) Chloride, Bromide & Iodide salts are soluble. EXCEPT salts with Ag+, Pb 2+ & Hg2 2+

4) Sulfate salts are soluble. EXCEPT BaSO4, PbSO4, Hg2SO4 & CaSO4

5) Hydroxide salts precipitate. EXCEPT alkali and ammonium hydroxides, Ba(OH)2, Sr(OH)2 & Ca(OH)2 (which are soluble)
