A
- commonly experienced with sedentary lifestyle, antibiotic use, and/or obesity
- in skin folds, buttocks area, under dressings, stoma

Moisture associated skin damage wound care
A
- typical dressings are generally not effective for MASD in skin folds
- polyester silver cloth strips are placed in affected folds and secured with small piece of tape to wick moisture away * ointments/powders may alternatively be used
- MASD under wound dressings can be addressed with moisture absorption &/or more frequent dressing changes
