A
- the understanding of ones own and anothers minds or mental state
- includes our thoughts, beliefs, desires and meoions and how mnetal state effects behavior
- at age 4 children now recognize that there are doffreent perspectives and viewpoints
- they recgoznise that appearance is misleading and deceptive
- APpearance-reaity is a task to tesk how a child can distinguish reality versus representation

- Teens have a well-practicted pattern of knowing things by comparsion
- teens divide their thinking into either really good or bad
- theres no in between

A
- complex form of thinking that exclusively associated with adulthood and adult development
- A part of the critcial thinking process referring specifically to the processes of analyzing and making judgments about what has happened
- An adult will use evidence and reasoning, question their knowledge and beliefs, to search for conclusions that make sense; when they are thinking and decision making

A
- Evident that elders provide better soultions whenthe problem is unfamilair or complex
- wisdom is insight or judgment to a practical life matter
