What is forgiveness?
Pardoning someone for something they have done wrong
What is Just War?
Justified military action
What is conflict resolution?
Creating peace between 2 parties that have been at war or in dispute with each other
What is Reconciliation?
Restoring of harmony after relationships have broken down
What is WMD?
Nuclear, Biological and Chemical weapons - able to cause widespread devastation and loss of life
What is Pacifism?
The belief that war or violence is wrong and should never be used
What is Justice?
Fairness for all
What is Nuclear War?
War which makes use of nuclear weapons
What is Terrorism?
The unlawful use of violence, usually against innocent civilians, in order o achieve a political/religious goal
What is righteous anger?
Anger over injustice
What is non-violent resistance?
Resisting a government without using violence, for example through peaceful protests or non-cooperation
What is Radicalisation?
The process of causing someone to hold extreme views on religious or political issues, they are unwilling to see alternate views
What is a Holy War?
A war fought for a religious goal, approved by a religious leader, believed that god is on your team and believed that fighters will go to heaven
What is torture?
Any act by which severe pain and suffering (mental and physical) is intentionally inflicted on a person by a public official
What is Martyrdom?
A person who suffers death for refusing to give up their faith. High valued by the Catholic church
