Imitative, Intensive, Interpersonal, Extensive
Imitative
It is for this reason that drilling are important since it offer a
way to reproduce the language more closely to the way native speakers do
Intensive
It is used and focused to practice certain forms of language such as
grammatical or phonological aspects.
Interpersonal
The goal is not to transmit information but
to maintain social relationships.
Extensive
It refers to monologues. These can be reports, summaries, and short speeches. The register is formal and deliberative.
