These can all be placed within context

Its use amongst historian allows readers to understand the difference in ideas and it enhances the value of historians as it emphasises their research

Things to consider within sources:
- Continuity or change within the source or surrounding the context of its creation
- The cause and effect of the source in modern and contemporary context
- The overall significance of the source
The preservation of artefacts
It is important maintain the damages of time and avoid loss to surroundings through a controlled environment avoiding hazards, documentation and preventative measurs to understand the artefact
Historical perspectives
It means understanding the social, cultural intellectual and emotional context which could be biased based on the historian
Evidence
Can be found in primary or secondary sources to support or challenge the source’s viewpoint
