What are the 4 speech processes and what do they do?

- Airstream process
- pulmonic or non - oronasal process
- nasal or oral - Phonation Process
- type of voicing - Articulatory Process
- place and manner

How do we use the 4 speech processes to speak?
A
- first decide whether we are using the lung/not lung air
- is the air coming out the nose or the mouth?
- Raise the velum to shut nasal passage or not. - activate corresponding muscles in the larynx to make different types of voicing or not ex. breathy
- where are you make a constriction and how are you making the constriction.
