What was Mendel’s conclusion on the pea plant experiment?

- Characteristics in plants are determined by hereditary units
- Hereditary units are passed on to offspring unchanged from the parents. One unit from each parent.
- Hereditary units can be dominant or recessive. If an individual has a dominant and a recessive unit then the dominant unit is expressed.
