What were some issues with the W-S NHA and USHA?
Only 10% could be spent in any one state - although problems were concentated in NE cities
Only 1/2 of requested budget allocated ($500mil)
Only built 160,000 homes by 1941 which was inadequate for the need
Conservatives feared public housing was a threat to capitalism

Minimum wage set at 25cents/hr and maximum working hours 44/week
Wages of 300,000 increased and hours of 1.3million reduced
Interstate shipment of goods made by under 16s forbidden
Children under 18 banned from working in hazardous enviroments
Set up Wages and Hours division in DoL
