1 - Online holding brake inhibit 2 - Normal 3 - Rescued 4 - Rescuing 5 - Rescue in propulsion
What equipment does the train have to allow for rescuing?
EMS, BP, BP sensor (rescuing)
When would the trainset mode 5 be used?
When pushing a seimens/comeng or a loco.
What happens when brake pipe pressure rises above 430kpa?
Safety loop closes
What happens when brake pipe pressure falls below 300 kpa?
Safety loop opens, emergency brakes apply
What happens when brake pipe falls below 480kpa?
Traction cannot be gained below 480kpa
What position of the trainset mode switch is a brake pipe introduced?
3 4 and 5
How is the brake pipe charged?
All trains must have the reverser in forward and master controller to full service (Or anywhere in the brake area)
Must be stopped (below 0.5)
What is the 110v supply switch for?
This allows trains which are disabled, with a flat battery to receive trickle feeding power from a rescuing train
If an xtrap is recuing an xtrap electrically, what position of the EMS will the disabled train and assisting trains be in?
2 for both
If an xtrap is pushing an xtrap non-electrically, what positions of the EMS will the disabled and assisting trains be in?
Assisting 4 Disabled 1 (for some reason, if the EMS is in 3 the holding brake does not release)
