Performance-based objectives
Sets a level of performance a learner needs to demonstrate before progressing to the next phase of instruction
Decision-based objectives
Objectives that involve dynamic problem solving to meet.
Types of lectures
Illustrated talk - instructor uses visual aids to help convey message
Briefing - Speaker provides short, concise facts.
Formal - speaker’s purpose is to inform, persuade, or entertain
Informal - speaker includes student participation in a relaxed atmosphere
Guided discussion method
Draws out what students know with the skillful use of questions.
Introduction: Key points are identified and instructors make students feel welcome to participate
Discussion: A lead-off question is used to generate discussion, then follow up questions are used to guide the discussion
Conclusion: A summary of the material covered, show the connections between all the information.
Computer assisted learning
PC based, students can progress at a rate comfortable to them
