Q

what would happen if the sun dissappeared

A

Life on earth would not be possible without the sun. As a result of the sun giving the earth the light and heat humans need to survive, humans would die without the sun. The heat given from the sun gives human skin a vital vitamin; vitamin D. Without the sun’s luminosity, humans would live in complete darkness. Without the sun’s heat, humans would die from the absence of heat.

Q

The auroras

A

The Auroras

Earth has a magnetic field which is strongest on the north and south poles.

There are two types of Auroras; Aurora Borealis, which occurs in the northern hemisphere, also called the northern lights, and Aurora Australis which occurs in the southern hemisphere, also known as the southern lights.

The Auroras occur when massive masses of plasma come out from the sun and travel through space. While that great mass of plasma is travelling through space, it passes Mercury, Venus and Mars until it reaches earth.

When the mass of plasma reaches earth, the particle interaction between the plasma and earth’s magnetic field in earth’s atmosphere produces a display of light in the sky.
