Q

problems with the affinity argument

A

simmias: the turning of a lyre is invisible and non physical, the instrument is both physical and in destructible, but we don’t assume the tuning can exist without the lyre

he argues platos argument does not give us conclusive evidence for the immortality of the soul, arguing that the soul might be more like the attunement of a lyre string, which disappears when the string is broken
