NREM stage 1
The first stage of nonrapid eye movement sleep characterized by in and out of sleep. such as watching TV and feeling yourself doze off then you trigger awakening and feel your body jerk.
NREM stage 2
Sleeping but not deep sleeping, can we woken up easily
NREM stage 3
the deepest stage of non rapid eye movement. While you are in this stage your brain and body will regain energy, repair tissues, and remove waste products. Promoting physical and mental well being
REM sleep
characterized by rapid eye movements, vivid dreams, and muscle paralysis
REM rebound
when you sleep for a long period of time after not sleeping a good amount during the week. (making up sleep)

When the brain organizes and integrates information acquired throughout the day. (dreaming about someone you’ve seen thought the day even if you don’t remember seeing them)

sudden extreme daytime sleepiness, sudden episodes of muscle weakness, sleep paralysis and hall during sleep or awakening
