What are the functions of the skeletal system?
A
- Gives shape and structure to the body.
- Makes movement possible
- Protect the internal organs
- Provide support for the soft tissue of the body
- Store and manufacture bone marrow

A
- Flat bones (such as the skull, ribs, pelvis and shoulder blades).
- Long bones (such as those in the lower arm: the radius and ulna).
- Irregular bones (such as vertebrae).

Allow the systems of levers to operate efficiently.

A
These are rounded like building blocks and stacked to form the spinal column which surrounds and protects the spinal cord.
