What was the act called?
Another group whose lives was partially improved by the liberal reforms was the sick. The liberals introduced the National Insurance Act Part 1 in 1911.

What did this act do?
The act provided compulsory insurance against sickness for all earning up to 160 per year. They were also given free medical care and maternity benefits.
Analysis
This was important as it gave workers security in their jobs as most workers were terrified of becoming sick and being unable to work it also gave workers medical treatment which was an improvement to their medical needs.

However the national insurance was another tax which was coming out as a flat rate which was harming the poor incredibly more than the rich which did not help the poor overcome the poverty line in fact it only made them go more below the line.
