Alzheimers

A

a neurodegenerative disease that causes the loss of neurons to occur in the hippocampus, therefore resulting in memory loss.

Therefore episodic memory declines and as Alzheimer’s progresses, we can see a decline in semantic memory as well.

The cortex can shrink as well and ventricles can enlarge.
