Proofs: Ethos
The image of the source of the message
Proofs: Pathos
The emotions / the emotional state of the receiver, the emotions of the audience
Proofs: Logos
It’s about the argument and the nature of the message
Canons of Rhetoric: Invention
The generation of your ideas. Generating those ideas with Ethos and Pathos involved
Canons of Rhetoric: Arrangement
How you put the message together, how you organize it. Organizing the ideas to be most effective
Canons of Rhetoric: Style (verbal)
The language choices of the speaker. Word choice with different people
Canons of Rhetoric: Delivery (nonverbal)
The nonverbal behaviors. Eye movement, body movement
Canons of Rhetoric: Memory
The storing of relevant info in your mind that you may or may not draw form / use when you’re in the interaction
